Today Jenny from the Working Waters Trust came to speak to us about the longfin eel/tuna.
We learnt lots of interesting facts...
Tuna only live in Aotearoa. Tuna is the Maori name for eel. Tuna eat bugs that fall into the river.
Eels are amazing.

Next time we see Jenny, we are going to be scientists. We are going to visit Nottingham Stream and test the water flow, the water temperature and see what the banks of the stream look like. We are going to decide if the stream is a healthy place for eels to live. We hope to see an eel too!
